Adam Murphy is a Certified Practicing Hydrographer and IoT Specialist at NNNCo, where he brings extensive expertise in sensor networks, telemetry, and flood warning systems. His career spans local government, national agencies, and smart city initiatives, combining technical proficiency with practical leadership to deliver innovative, real-world solutions.
Before joining NNNCo, Adam served as Catchment Systems Coordinator at the City of Parramatta Council, where he enhanced the FloodSmart Warning Service. In this role, he integrated rainfall and river monitoring with SCADA systems, IoT sensors, and advanced analytics to deliver accurate and timely flood warnings to the public.
Earlier, Adam worked at the Bureau of Meteorology, first as a Flood Warning Network Technician and later as Flood Warning Network Coordinator. There, he managed the operation and advancement of one of Australia’s most significant national infrastructure systems. His experience covers the full lifecycle of meteorological, hydrographic, and IoT projects — from field installations and radio path testing to SCADA integration and network optimisation.
