NNNCo has been named 2018 Winner of the Industrial & Primary Industries category at the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) NSW iAwards, the nation’s leading awards program for innovation in the digital economy.

The award was given for NNNCo’s Load Control IoT solution for Energy Queensland which has also been recognised in a series of awards including the 2017 ACCOM Awards and Big Insights Data Awards.

The Energy Queensland solution has demonstrated a number of important innovations including the world’s first group multicast LoRaWAN deployment and the development of a purpose-built controller designed to send commands to different energy devices.

NNNCo Founder and CEO, Rob Zagarella, said “The multicast capability of our solution delivers secure central control of multiple devices which is incredibly important because it ensures the solution is scalable, communicating from a few devices up to thousands.”

“We’re honoured to be recognised by industry for this truly innovative residential demand response solution,” Zagarella added. “This innovation could be used to shape our Global Energy Future. Congratulations to our amazing engineering team and special thanks to the vision of our client, Sanjeewa Athuraliya, who made this possible and drove it to completion while he was at Ergon Energy.”

AIIA CEO, Rob Fitzpatrick, said “Each year the awards shine a light on the exceptional achievements of those at the forefront of Australian innovation, and the projects shaping our modern economy. We’re proud to provide recognition and encouragement to people prepared to bring an idea to life, enabled by technology. Whether they’re in start-ups, the public sector, community services, academia, or private enterprise, small and large, the work of the finalists is an inspiration to us all.”
