The National Narrowband Network Co (NNNCo) will showcase end-to-end solutions and new smart devices for IoT when it exhibits with Actility, the industry leader in low power wide area networking, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain on Feb. 27-March 2.
Together with Actility, NNNCo will share details of its demand management trial solution with Ergon Energy in Australia which uses NNNCo’s innovative group multicast technology coupled with Actility’s ThingPark IoT platform to control hot water usage at a fine granular level.
NNNCo will also showcase three of its own smart devices incorporating a Murata LoRaWAN module and NNNCo’s software stack – the SDS (Smart Device Software). The three devices are a Demand Response Enabling Device being used in the Ergon Energy program, a Smart Streetlight Controller, and a multi-purpose device which accepts all types of sensor inputs and sends data over a network using LoRa.
NNNCo’s software stack was developed to enable the low-cost ultra compact Murata module to apply in the real world within certain industrial vertical applications. It includes NNNCo’s multicast technology combined with a highly efficient but powerful protocol which is unique in the LPWA domain today. It has been designed so that it can apply to other vertical markets and in other countries via the use of published API’s and further enable the applicability of the Murata module into IoT/M2M markets around the world.
“NNNCo is working in close partnership with Actility to leverage their Network Platform which has been successfully deployed by operators around the world,” says NNNCo’s Founder & CEO, Rob Zagarella. “We’re excited to join them at Mobile World Congress 2017 to showcase some of the results of that work.”
