NNNCo soars above the radar with Cisco deal, fresh investment and marketing campaign

National Narrowband Network Co, the Australian company building a dedicated open platform ecosystem for the Internet of Things in Australia, has leapt into the limelight with a branding campaign and a key partnership with Cisco – as well as securing a fresh round of investment from private backers.

First revealed by CommsDay last June, NNNCo has been working somewhat under the radar until now. But that has all changed at this year’s Australian Utility Week event in Sydney, where NNNCo is a silver sponsor – alongside the likes of Telstra and Vodafone – with a prominent stand, and where the Cisco partnership has become public for the first time.

CommsDay caught up with NNNCo founder and CEO Rob Zagarella, investor and board member Roger Allen AM, and Cisco Australia CTO Kevin Bloch on the sidelines of the conference. Zagarella cast the power, water and gas sector- focused event as the ideal opportunity to unveil the new campaign, which includes a new logo and completely revised website.

“We’ve been head down and working extremely hard to make sure we could prove we had a number of solutions running over this network, to really prove that it’s real and that the technology base was mature enough… before we re-branded,” he said. “And given that one of our key vertical markets is utilities, Utility Week was the right launching platform… we wanted to find the right time to be able to really launch the company and the brand into a number of different vertical markets. I think you’ll be seeing, and hearing, a lot more about us from today forward!”
