The National Narrowband Network Co (NNNCo) has announced the appointment of Tony Tilbrook as its new Chief Operations Officer & Chief Technology Officer. Tilbrook was previously CTO of BigAir Group where he was responsible for network design, logistics and infrastructure.
“We’re excited to have Tony join the leadership team with his unique expertise in network infrastructure and design, as well as developing platforms and services that deliver real outcomes for enterprises,” said CEO Rob Zagarella.
“In 2018 we’re driving the expansion of NNNCo’s network and solutions and Tony has extensive experience in operationally building, deploying and managing these types of networks in production,” Zagarella said. “His technical, electronics and solutions background also gives him the deep capability necessary to deliver the solutions aspect of our business and strategy.”
“IoT is at an exciting inflection point globally and here in Australia and I’m incredibly excited to be part of driving its expansion and adoption,” Tilbrook said. “NNNCo is in a strong position to build and accelerate network adoption and interoperability in Australia, and we’re working with major partners in cities, utilities, agriculture and logistics to build platforms and solutions that meet their business needs.”
Tilbrook added, “We’re very much focused on solving problems and driving new efficiencies and business cases for enterprises and that’s what gets me up in the morning.”
Tilbrook’s appointment follows the recent announcement of entrepreneur and ex-Vocus CTO Chris Deere joining the NNNCo Board as part of its expansion plans.
